A brief art tour in Lugano, looking for emerging Italian and Swiss artists for a young private collector. At Studio Dabbeni, there is a refined exhibition by Luca Frei (Lugano, 1976), with artworks made by cartons; at Perlartecontemporanea c/o Hotel de la Paix, Alberto Gianfreda presents a group of heavy but surprising soft sculptures (photo: Dove poggio le mie mani, 2914). At Museo Cantonale d’arte, Annaïk Lou Pitteloud (Lausanne, 1980) has transformed Ala Est in a Max Bill space.
And, if you are in town, don’t miss the terrific Scultura da prendere a calci, 1959 by Gabriele De Vecchi (Milano, 1938) at Cortesi Contemporary!
